Getting ready
OUR ADVICE
Maximize your chances of success in the Sup de Pub entrance exams with our selection of tips and best practices!
1
Nourishing your general knowledge
Whatever your level of study, it is essential to have a satisfactory level of general knowledge. To improve this, get used to reading the general press. And keep up to date with the latest news in the communications sector! To do this, regularly consult specialist media in the sector, such as Creapills, Stratégies, CB News or J’ai un pote dans la com.
2
Sharpening your creative mind
Follow the latest advertising and communication campaigns. Develop your critical eye and practice analyzing a variety of advertisements. What do you think the strategy is? What are the messages? Why does an ad work or, on the contrary, what could make it more effective? By adopting these reflexes, you’ll sharpen your creativity and shine in the tests!
3
Understanding the subject of the test
The tests begin with a 2-hour written part and consist of developing a communication campaign or a creative concept. Take the time to understand what is expected and to construct a coherent argument. Organize your thoughts in a structured way, then create a clear and relevant presentation.
4
Perfecting your oral presentation
The second part of the admission tests consists of an oral presentation, followed by a discussion with the jury. While the quality of your work and your answers will be assessed, don’t forget that your attitude and enthusiasm count too! Adopt a positive, curious and dynamic attitude. Share your enthusiasm, show off your qualities and deliver an exciting oral presentation that reflects who you are!
5
Preparing for the interview with the panel
The jury will be looking for information about your motivations, your background and your career plans. Don’t neglect this part of the test. Practice presenting yourself, your experiences and your interests. Also highlight the skills that could be useful for your course. Finally, show that you have done your homework beforehand and that you know the school well. Don’t hesitate to talk about a subject or project that interests you!
