What is digital?

Digital is a complex concept, since no precise definition can describe its characteristics. On the one hand, it can refer to the digital processing of information. In fact, most business sectors use it to promote their products and services.

What training do you need to work in digital?

As long as you have a taste for innovation, you can access training courses dedicated to digital. If you want to get off to a good start in this field, you can take digital training courses at bac+2 level. These will enable you to enter the world of work quickly, thanks to the more technically-oriented programmes on offer. You can choose between the following three courses:

basic courses that prepare you to become a digital technician. They are open to students with a Bac S or a Bac technologique STI2D ;

BTS in IT services for organisations, which prepares you for web-oriented careers;

DUT in statistics and business intelligence.

What’s more, more and more universities are offering courses in the digital field these days. You can study there for 3 years to acquire basic knowledge of digital by obtaining a bachelor’s degree. Some establishments allow you to continue your training up to a master’s degree or licence pro for more in-depth knowledge. There are generally :

  • IT ;
  • MIASH ;
  • information and communication.

In addition, specialist digital schools train students to be directly operational at the end of their course. In addition to the digital school, you can, for example, enrol in an IT, web or multimedia school. Most offer sandwich courses and work with partner companies to make it easier for students to integrate.

Web design is a profession that requires great creativity and attention to detail. The job involves not only creating the site, but also improving the user experience and UX design.

Web development

Web developers work with development and programming languages on a daily basis. They can apply for a specialist position depending on the number of languages they master. Depending on their area of expertise, their role involves creating :

  • the overall structure and tree structure of a website ;
  • requests between servers ;
  • accessibility to the site and/or application.

Web marketing

The job of the web marketer consists of promoting the client’s website and increasing its visibility. He also adapts the structure and content of the site to each sector of activity to encourage visitors to buy.

  • web art director: €45,000 to €75,000 ;

  • web product manager: €25,000 to €62,000 ;
  • community manager: €30,000 to €45,000 ;
  • social media manager: €33,000 to €60,000 ;
  • web copywriter: €21,000 to €30,000.
