The Project Manager / Advertising Manager is the key player in the development of an advertising campaign. They are involved from the campaign design stage onwards. To do this, they analyse their employer’s needs and define the desired objectives. Together, they determine the budget required for the project. Its aim is to guarantee the performance of an advertising campaign, i.e. to achieve the defined objective without exceeding the imposed budget. They analyse the tools and levers to be used to promote a product, service or brand. To find the best campaign strategy, they need to have a thorough understanding of the elements of the product or service.

When launching a new brand, they need to understand its history, values and vision. Based on this, they draw up detailed specifications. Once everything has been validated, they work with the technical and artistic teams for the creation phase. This includes directors, storytellers and graphic designers.

The Project Manager/Advertising Manager supervises all the creative work until the campaign is complete. At the same time, they manage client relations, time and budget.

What are the duties of a project manager / advertising manager?

Project managers / advertising managers have a wide range of tasks . They vary according to the employer. In a small company, they are multi-skilled, responsible for all aspects of advertising.   • draws up and manages a schedule of results;
  • Ensures that specifications, budget and deadlines are met;
  • it manages unforeseen events and finds solutions quickly;
  • They may be called upon to prospect and conduct negotiations.
